The song was written about the Trail of Tears.  I think it's important that everyone knows what happened to the Cherokee so long ago, and how an entire race of people almost completely vanished because of the new people who invaded native america. In my opinion this is the most important song I've written to date, and I hope someone finds something inside it to carry home with them.
